Newest McDo Birthday Party Brochure for 2019

McDonalds Philippines released the newest brochures for its McCelebrations or McDo party and it features my children's favorite train: Thomas and Friends. Barbie and Hot Wheels are also featured.

These three cartoon characters are the newest party themes for the McCelebrations Birthday Party.

Aside from these three party themes, McDo also has two McDo party themes, namely, Ronald and the Gang and Happy. The 5 McDonalds birthday party themes are at the back of the brochure.

The McDo birthday party brochure also listed the 4 Food Mixes,the McDo party perks, party favors, and the three easy steps in preparing the McDo party for your kids.

So, read if you're planning a birthday bash for your kids in McDo then I suggest that you get a McDo party brochure at the McDonalds branch nearest to you or talk to any of McDo crew.

BPI Credit Card Moving to eStatement

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) Credit Card is now moving to eStatement or electronic statement.

BPI informed me of this move when the bank emailed me this message:

We would like to remind you that starting March 2019, you will be enrolled to our eStatement Facility for BPI Credit Cards and will no longer receive a printed Statement of Account. 

We will be sending your BPI Credit Card electronic Statement of Account (eStatement) to your email address registered in our records. 

Enjoy these benefits with eStatement: 

• On Time – Receive your monthly Statement of Account (SOA) faster.
• Convenient – Access and download your eStatements anytime, anywhere. We'll also inform you via SMS once we’ve sent your eStatement.
• Secure – The file is password-protected so your SOA details are kept confidential.
• Eco-Friendly – Help reduce paper waste and save our precious trees. 

We would also like to remind you to keep your contact information updated and ensure you have enough space in your mailbox so you can receive your eStatement. 

Thank you for your continued patronage.

I do not have any problem with this move by the BPI. In fact, I have been receiving eStatements for my Metrobank Credit Card and also for my phone bills from Sun Cellular.

I believe that eStatement is more convenient and will provide more timely delivery of BPI credit card bills to me.

Those that will have problem with this system are the senior citizens and the not-so-computer savvy clients of BPI. I do hope that the bank will give them option to continue receiving credit card statements through mail.

How to Register Your SSS Account with Text SSS 2600

Social Security System or SSS is one of the government agencies considered by as one of tghe worst in providing public service.  In fact, it shared the top spot with LTO in having the most number of complaints about red tape in 2017.

I experienced this bad public service with SSS plenty of times. My top complaint is the very slow process that always result to long queues. The result is that I wasted plenty of time whenever I transact with SSS. There were times that I decided to go home because of the long line.

Thankfully,  SSS listens to the complaints of the public so they set up systems that will help the public. One of those systems is the Text SSS.

Registering with Text SSS is very easy.  All I did was to send an SMS or text to 2600 in this format:

SSS REG [10 digit SSS Number] [birthday] 

The birthday should be in this format: MM/DD/YYYY

I, for example was born on July 1, 1988, so I texted SSS this message:

SSS REG 1234567890 07/01/1988

Take note that sending a message to Text SSS costs 2.50 pesos per message.

After I sent the above message, Text SSS sent this confirmation message:

The above message confirmed that my registration to Text SSS is successful.

Do not delete the confirmation text from SSS because it contains the PIN that you will use when you inquire the following using Text SSS:

1. Contributions

2. Loan Balance

3. Loan Status

4. Claim Status

5. Requirements

6. Change Information

7. Nearest Branch

8. Feedback

9. Maternity Notification

10. Payment Reference Number (PRN) Inquiry

Text SSS is very useful for me. I was able to inquire about my SSS contributions and I was able to check if my last payment was received by SSS.

So, if you are an SSS member, I highly recommend that you apply for Text SSS.
