How to Avail FlyPAL Express Promo Fares

I previously reported the rebranding of AirPhil Express to FlyPAL Express. Included in this rebranding is the change of AirPhil Express promo to FlyPAL Express promo. This means that those who want to avail of the express promo fares should go to the new FlyPAL Express website and book the promo flights there.

I outlined here the way on how you can avail of the FlyPAL Express promo fares.

1. Get Timely Updates from FlyPAL Express

There are three ways for you to receive updates of FlyPAL Express promo fares. The first is by signing-up for a FlyPAL Express newsletter.

Go to FlyPAL Express website to sign-up for the newsletter.

Sign-up for FlyPAL Express promo fares newsletter

Just type in your email address and then click the “Sign Up Now” button. And that's done. All you have to do now is to wait for the FlyPAL Express newsletter to be e-mailed to you.

You can also get the latest FlyPAL Express promo by following FlyPAL Express Twitter account or liking the FlyPAL Express Facebook page.

2. Decide Quickly

The fight over for FlyPAL Express promo fares is very fierce. Hundreds of people are vying for the limited offer. Thus, available promo fare slots are gone in mere seconds. Deciding on the destination and day and time of flights should be quick so you can beat other people for the FlyPAL Express promo fare.

3. Ready Your Credit Card

Paying FlyPAL Express promo fare is easy when you use your credit card. FlyPAL Express accepts MasterCard or Visa credit cards. Those who didn't have credit card should not worry because you can still pay your FlyPAL Express promo fare through M Lhuiller, Petron, 7 Eleven, Metro Mall, POS Digital, Prime Asia Pawnshop, Enterprise Bank, NCCC Department Store, NCCC Supermarket, NCCC HB1 and ViaExpress.

Another  tip that I can give you is that you should always be alert when it comes to FlyPAL Express promo fares. Updates for promo fares usually come out during midnight or during the dead of the night when most people are sleeping. If you are fortunate enough to be awake when the FlyPAL Express promo fares come out then you have a good chance of getting the promo fares that you want.

How to Get Discount News from TigerAirways

I flew via Cebu Pacific, AirPhil ExpressZestAir and Philippine Airlines so much that I thought they are the only airlines that fly to the different destinations in the Philippines. I was surprised that my boss booked a flight at TigerAirways for our trip to Subic.

TigerAirways is one of the many budget airlines that are popping out like mushrooms in the airline industry. The competition between budget airlines is so fierce that they are topping one another in offering discount flights to travelers.

One night, my Beloved discovered a one (1)-peso discount fare from TigerAirways. After booking a flight, we discovered that TigerAirway's 1-peso discount fare cost less (after adding the taxes and surcharges) that the 1-peso discount fare of Cebu Pacific that we booked in the past.

Because of this, I decided that I should subscribe to notifications of discount fares from TigerAirways.

Step 1: I went to the TigerAirways website and clicked on the “e-deals sign up” button encircled red on the image below:
.
Website of TigerAirways

Step 2: Since I am cheapskate, I just clicked on the “Sign me up just to receive your regular e-newsletters” link. See the pop-up window on the image below.
.
Stripe subscription for TigerAirways

You can also opt to join the Stripes but you should have a $29.95 to pay the yearly subscription fee. Joining the stripes is recommended for those who travel very frequently.

Step 3: I then fill-up my name, e-mail address, mobile number and other contact number on the form. I then clicked the “Request for subscription” buttong after I filled-up the form.

Step 4: I then go to my e-mail and checked my inbox for the confirmation message sent by TigerAirways. I clicked on the link found in the confirmation message to finally verify my subscription to TigerAirways e-deals.
.
Confirmation message of TigerAirways

I know that confirmation is  successful because I read this on the the TigerAirways website:

You have successfully subscribed to our Latest Deals Newsletter! A confirmation message has been sent to your email address.

And that's it. All I have to do now is to check my inbox for news of discount fares from TigerAirways.

Philippine Airlines Flight Status

Not knowing the status of your flight is sometimes a big hassle. One time, when I traveled back to Manila from Davao, I didn’t know that the time of departure of for my flight was delayed by two hours because of bad weather. I rushed to Davao International Airport with the thought that I am late for my flight. Rushing to the airport just to avoid being left behind by the plane doesn't feel good. In the end, all of my rush went to naught because my flight was delayed.

I was not informed of the delay. I should have traveled to the airport without the rush and anxiety. I should have checked the status of my flight.

All airlines must have a system of informing their passengers of the status of their flights. There should have easy way for passengers to check if their flight is delayed or cancelled. Good thing that Philippine Airlines has a system to help inform their clients of delayed or cancelled flight. This system is the Philippine Airlines Flight Status that is found in the Philippine Airlines website.

To check the Philippine Airlines flight status, please go to their website. You will see the Philippine Airlines Online Booking form. Just click on the “Flight Status” tab as shown in the image below.
.
Philippine Airlines Flight Status tab

Just fill out the details of your flight on the Philippine Airlines Flight Status form. You can know the status of your flight by searching by flight number or by origin or destination. You will see the Philippine Airlines flight status after you click the “Go” button.

If you’re flying via Philippine Airlines, I recommend that you check the Philippine Airlines Flight Status before you go to the airport. This will help reduce inconveniences caused by delayed or cancelled flights.

More Fun in Cebu Pacific Promo Fares

Cebu Pacific continuously delights passengers by giving away seat sales for everyone. Just this month, I availed the 1.43 pesos Cebu Pacific promo fares. I managed to book two passengers for a roundtrip travel for only 2,750 pesos, with taxes and fees included. I was one of the “lucky Juans” my friend had said. The competition for the 1.43 pesos Cebu Pacific promo fares is so tough that my friend failed in booking a roundtrip flight from Manila to Kalibo, which is has airport nearest to Boracay. I wrote about some tips on how to get those Cebu Pacific promo fares. I suggest that you read that article so that you can also a “lucky Juan.”

You will need those tips for the latest Cebu Pacific promo fares. Cebu Pacific is now offering 188 pesos Cebu Pacific promo fares for the following flights:

How to Reserve aTicket at ZestAir

Booking Cebu Pacific promo fares is very tough. There are many people who compete for the booking, especially if the flights that are on promo are those going to popular tourist destinations. Available Cebu Pacific promo fares just last for few hours and then they are gone.

I am always on the look-out for promo fares whenever I have plans to travel. If I fail to get promo fares from Cebu Pacific, my next recourse is to book a flight at ZestAir. ZestAir flights are way cheaper than the regular flights in Cebu Pacific and AirPhil Express. The problem with ZestAir, however, is that its online payment scheme is not flexible as compared with that of Cebu Pacific. ZestAir only allows those who book online to pay thru credit card.
.
ZestAir airplane on take-off

Fortunately, ZestAir has another way to reserve a flight other than the online means. And that is by booking via telephone. So, if you can’t reserve a ZestAir flight via the ZestAir website, I highly suggest that you dial the ZestAir hotline: 855-3333. You only have to wait few minutes before the ZestAir sales representative answers your call. Reserving a flight via telephone is easy because the sales rep will guide you throughout the process.

Still searching for a cheap flight because you failed to grab any flight via Cebu Pacific promo fares? Why don’t you give ZestAir a try?

The Problem with AirPhilippines

“You need a credit card to avail of our promo fare.” - this is the explanation of the AirPhilippines call center representative when I asked them why I can't book for their 888-peso promo flight. This answer made me feel frustrated and caused me to book online at Cebu Pacific airline.

My beloved ask me to help her book a flight from Iloilo to Davao last month. She specifically told me that I book the cheapest flight that I could find because her budget is limited. The flight is for her parents (and my future in laws), who are now going home for their short vacation from Iloilo. Following her instructions strictly, I searched for cheap flights from all the budget airlines in the Philippines. I am fortunate to find an 888-peso promo fare from AirPhilippines, which prompted me to book through the AirPhilippines website. Everything is OK until I reached the “Payment Options” page where I discovered that the only available payment option is through credit card. The bad thing is that I don't have a credit card because I avoid having one.
.
AirPhilippines logo

I called the AirPhilippines hotline to book the 888-peso promo flight. The call center representative told me that I am not allowed to reserve for 888-peso promo fare. Only the regular (and more expensive) fares are the only available ones available for those who doesn't have credit cards.

AirPhilippines promo fares are not open for the general public. I believe that this is the reason why AirPhilippines lags behind Cebu Pacific. AirPhilippines promo fares are only available to credit card users while Cebu Pacific promo fares can be availed by anyone. Cebu Pacific allows anyone to book their cheapest fares and still give them the chance to pay through credit card or payment centers like LBC and Banco de Oro.

It is understandable that AirPhilippines is reducing the risk of unpaid booking reservations for its promo fares. This is the possible reason why they only allow credit card users to avail the AirPhilippines promo fares. This is good protection for the airline but it causes frustrated clients like me to book flights in Cebu Pacific.
